Michael began his health career as a Clinical Pharmacist, moving from Melbourne to Gippsland in 2007. Having developed a love for the area he took up the opportunity to study medicine locally with Monash University.
Michael is fully qualified General Practitioner with the Royal Australian College of GP's, and has worked in both hospitals and General Practices across Gippsland. He has undertaken extra studies in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.
He has also taken up the opportunity to be involved with training General Practice registrars through RACGP.
Dr. Lisa Gilbert

Dr Lisa Gilbert is currently not accepting new routine GP patients. She is accepting referrals for skin cancer checks and management.
Dr Lisa Gilbert grew up in Melbourne before moving to Gippsland in 2009 to study medicine at Monash University. She graduated with Honours in 2013 and was awarded the prestigious Royal Australian College of Physicians Prize in Clinical Medicine.
After completing her training in Gippsland, Lisa chose to make the region home and is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred healthcare to the local community.
Lisa is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) with additional qualifications as a Rural Generalist in Dermatology. She has a special interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery, including comprehensive skin checks, dermoscopy, biopsies, surgical excisions and ongoing skin cancer surveillance. She also enjoys all aspects of general practice, particularly women's health, obesity and preventive medicine.
As the co-founder and Principal GP at Project Health General Practice, Lisa is committed to delivering modern, evidence-based healthcare with a strong focus on continuity of care and patient experience. She is passionate about supporting the future of general practice by supervising GP registrars and mentoring medical students with PHGP.

Dr. Justin Kang
Practice Principal

Dr. Kang is not currently accepting new GP patients
Justin graduated from Monash University (Monash) with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2014. He undertook further hospital training in Monash Health where he has worked at Monash Medical Centre (Clayton), Dandenong and Casey Hospitals.
Justin completed his Diploma from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG) in 2018. His training focused on Women's Health and Antenatal Care. Justin moved to Gippsland with his family in 2018 and attained his Fellowship in The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2020.
Justin enjoys all aspects of General Practice and continually strives to refine his professional skills. He is also closely involved with the mentoring of registrars undertaking general practice training. Justin grew up in Singapore and speaks English and conversational Mandarin. He enjoys travelling and photography.

Dr Kyu Jin Kim grew up in New Zealand and completed his medical degree at the University of Auckland in 2019, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB). After working across a wide range of specialties in large tertiary metropolitan hospitals, he relocated to Melbourne in 2022.
Since then, he has broadened his experience by working within smaller communities across regional and rural Victoria, including at Bass Coast Health, Swan Hill District Health, and Bairnsdale Regional Health.
Dr Kim is currently completing his fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). He enjoys all aspects of general practice and takes pride in building meaningful, long-term relationships with his patients.
His approach is grounded in providing holistic, evidence-based care tailored to each individual’s needs. He has particular interests in dermatology, skin cancer, and aesthetic medicine.
Outside of medicine, Dr Kim leads an active and balanced lifestyle. He enjoys all things fitness-related, playing tennis, and travelling to new destinations. He believes that staying active and curious helps him bring both energy and empathy to his work each day.
Dr Kim speaks fluent English and conversational Korean.

Casey has lived and worked in Gippsland for many years and is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care to the local community.
Having developed strong connections throughout the region, she values the opportunity to build long-term relationships with patients and support them through all stages of life. Her experience working across Gippsland has provided a broad understanding of the unique healthcare needs and challenges faced by rural and regional communities.
Casey enjoys all aspects of general practice and is currently undertaking specialist training towards Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). In addition to general practice training, she has completed advanced training in Palliative Care and has a special interest in supporting patients and their families through serious illness, symptom management and end-of-life care.
Casey is committed to delivering compassionate care and believes in working collaboratively with patients to achieve the best possible health outcomes.
Outside of medicine, Casey enjoys spending time with her family around the region, she appreciates the lifestyle and sense of community which makes the area such a special place to live and work.

Samantha grew up locally and first pursued a career within the health setting as a community ambulance officer. She then moved on to become a senior ambulance calltaker, working from the Ambulance control Centre in Morwell. After twelve and a half years of service with Rural Ambulance Victoria she decided to branch into nursing, completing her Bachelor of Nursing in 2009 through Monash University in Churchill.
Samantha then moved into the hospital setting working in the emergency department at Latrobe Regional Hospital before exploring practice nursing.
In 2019 an opportunity arose within the field of skin cancer and Samantha successfully completed a Graduate Certificate of Medicine (skin cancer). She then commenced practicing as a nurse dermoscopist in the local area, performing skin checks and collaborating alongside GP's.
Samantha hopes to continue to increase her skills in the field of skin cancer and is proud to provide professional care and education to the rural community from which she calls home.
Carolyn has extensive experience in General Practice nursing and management roles. She has worked with many health professionals around Gippsland and has a wealth of knowledge to draw from.
You will see her assisting the Doctors with procedures, she can help with all manner of wound problems, immunisations, ECG, Health Assessments, Care Plan Preparation and more.

A highly qualified and experienced physiotherapist providing care to the people of Gippsland over the past fourteen years.
Claire is a Musculoskeletal, Sports, Clinical Pilates, Dry Needling and Women's Health (Pelvic Floor) Physiotherapist.
She is dedicated to helping and treating the people of Gippsland and prides herself in giving high quality care. You can be assured that you will get the help you need with a thorough assessment and hands on treatment, whether it be for back or neck pain, sporting injury or preventative care.
Claire also has extensive post graduate training and experience in Womens Health Physiotherapy, having worked in the field for the past ten years. She completed her post graduate studies at University of Melbourne in 2015 and has completed countless advanced courses since. Combined with her experience and training in the musculoskeletal system, you will have expert care from pregnancy to menopause and beyond. She treats issues from incontinence, prolapse, pelvic pain, and mastitis. She loves working with women in the peripartum period, including birth preperation, six week postpartum checks and three month postnatal return to running assessments.

At Project Health General Practice, we believe quality health care should be comprehensive, and that it takes time to properly explore a person’s health from the big picture. The default is to book new patients for 30 minute consultations and, where time permits, a 15-20 minute consultation as the standard length for existing patients. A ‘brief’ appointment of less than 15 minutes may be appropriate after a therapeutic relationship has been established and if only fairly simple issues need to be discussed.
